Fazaia Housing Scheme Tarnol, Islamabad covering an area of around 5000 kanals was visualized in 1986 and formally launched in August, 1989 as a welfare project of Pakistan Air Force. Purchase of land, consolidation process, possession and settlement of claims / disputes continued for quite some time. The land consolidation took almost 04 years i.e till the end of 1995. The scheme was designed by renowned firm M/s NESPAK.
Initially, road work till sub base level, water supply distribution network, Suigas network, Electric network and drainage were laid alongwith construction of overhead water tanks and boundary wall in phases. However, laying of sewerage network, carpeting of roads and availability of potable water source, electric feeder requirement, development of commercial areas and amenities could not be completed primarily owing to the scarcity of funds. In fact the development charges collected from members at that time were much lesser than the other contemporary schemes of Rawalpindi/ Islamabad area, the development of the scheme could not be carried out to the desired level.
The scheme is located at the extended limits of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) in front of Tarnol Interchange (exit) at Islamabad – Peshawar Motorway (M1) and enjoys close proximity of New Islamabad International Airport and having a long front of around four kilometers on Tarnol-FatehJang GT road. With upcoming project of CPEC route (Haqla-DI Khan Motorway), construction of Kashmir Highway for quick accessibility to the scheme and boom in the real estate, the plot prices have witnessed rising trend in the past couple of years. This upward trend is more visible because of total land holdings and ready for construction status.
Fazaia Housing Scheme Tarnol, Islamabad is a gated community where security is ensured through efficient / effective system and highly trained staff. To capitalize on the opportunities, revitalization and rehabilitation of Fazaia Housing Scheme Tarnol has been undertaken Electricity, Sui gas, street lights, garbage collection system and drainage network are available in all blocks of the scheme. Smart School a subsidiary of City School till middle level is functional inside the society. A Dental clinic, Utility store, departmental / grocery store, TUC shop, newly constructed BBQ restaurant and exclusive graveyard for the society are also available. A bank branch of MCB has started functioning inside the society to exclusively facilitate the residents. It is heartening to share that project for provisioning of water supply from Shahpur Dam to Fazaia Tarnol is under progress and will be functional shortly. Work on construction of water supply lines, pumping station and storage tanks are in progress and hopefully will complete by December, 2017.
Currently, over 03 plazas& 150 houses are completed and more than 50 houses & 04 plazas are under construction/ possession.
